Regulations

1. The PRESBYOPIA 2023 Conference, hereinafter referred to as the Conference, will be held on 10 November 2023 in an online format.
   The organiser of the Conference is the Foundation for Supporting the Development of Ophthalmology “Ophthalmology 21” with its seat in Poznań at 24/3B Adama Mickiewicza Street, the Ministry in Warsaw at 1/3 Wspólna Street and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn at 2 Michała Oczapowskiego Street.
2. The provisions of these regulations are an integral part of the Conference participation application and are binding on all participants.
   Participants in the Conference are doctors, optometrists, computer scientists and students who intend to become professionally involved in ophthalmology or optometry and computer science.
3. The Conference is also open to representatives of the Conference sponsors, subject to separate regulations.
4. The official conference website is available at: https://prezbiopia.pl/konferencja23/.
5. The conference will include lecture sessions, the detailed programme of which is available on the official conference website.
6. The organiser allows advertising/promotional content to appear during the Conference.

1. Participation in the conference is subject to registration on the conference website provided by the organiser and payment of the registration fee.
2. In order to register, the participant fills in the registration form with the following data: name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, profession (given only for statistical purposes).
3. Participation in the conference is payable.
4. By undertaking the registration activity, the registrant confirms that the data of the registered participant are true and that the person registered to participate in the conference has agreed to the registration including his/her personal data.
5. The administrator of the personal data is the Organiser. Organiser’s data: Foundation for Supporting the Development of Ophthalmology “Ophthalmology 21” with its registered office in Poznań, 24/3B Adama Mickiewicza Street (60-836). The data controller can be contacted via e-mail address: biuro@okulistyka21.pl.
6. The data will be processed for the purpose of participation in the conference, making necessary settlements, archiving, handling complaints in case of their submission or possible claim, as well as direct marketing of own products or services conducted in a traditional form, which does not require consent.
7. The conference participant has the right to access the content of his/her data and to rectify, delete, restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object to processing and the right to withdraw consent (if given).

1.  Participation in the conference held with the use of electronics means of communication requires the conference participant to have ICT system that meets the following requirements:
   a. Access to Internet,
   b. Terminal Device,
   c. The use in some cases software that allows reading files in various formats (including graphics, sound, multimedia, text etc.).
2. The organizer reserves the right to change program of conference, in particular by changing the time of a given lectures, changing the person conducting it, and canceling the conference. In such case, the participant is not entited to compensation from the organizer.
3. If it is necessary due to the nature of the conference taking place with the use of electronic means of communication, the organizer in the registration proces provides information about any additional technical requirements necessary to participate in the conference.
4. The organizer of the conference is not responsible for:
   a. Telecominication problems caused by action or omissions of third parties
   b. Failure or malfunction of third party software used by participant in the conference, including the operation of computer viruses.
   c. Incorrect configuration of the equipment used by the conference participant in order to participate in the conference.
   d. Defects of the conference participant’s computer equipment
   e. Lack or interruption in Internet access on the part of the conference participant
   f. Other circumstances preventing or hindering participation in the event, not caused by the actions or omission of organizer.

1.  Recording, copying, and distributing any content from the Conference is strictly prohibited.
2. All content is presented personally by the respective copyright owners or with their knowledge and consent.
3. Educational materials are distributed with their authors’ consent and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions under the Polish Act of February 4, 1994 on copyright and related rights.

Any complaints of conference participants against the organizer should be submitted in writing by registered post with acknowledgment of receipt to the address of the organizer’s registered office.

These regulations are valid from the moment of their publication on the website of the conference. The organizer reserves the right to change it, with the proviso that the changes are valid from the moment they are made public.
